In the pursuit of bringing more beauty and inspiration into the lives of every individual, Westwing has emerged as a beacon of creativity and style.

Westwing: Unveiling Beauty in Everyday Living

Established in 2011 by the visionary Delia Lachance, formerly an esteemed editor at ELLE magazine, and supported by four other enterprising co-founders, Westwing quickly found its niche in the Home & Living category, captivating the hearts of people across 11 European countries.

In 2020 alone, the brand achieved a remarkable revenue of 433 million euros, a testament to its unwavering commitment to crafting delightful living experiences for the past decade, leaving an indelible mark in the homes of many Brazilians.

Towards the end of 2020, propelled by a tremendous surge in e-commerce sales, Westwing embarked on a journey of ambitious expansion. This pivotal moment saw the convergence of Westwing's vision with the remarkable technology prowess of Drivin Smart Deliveries.

The transport management expertise of Drivin's TMS SaaS, a cloud-based Transport Management System, seamlessly integrated into Westwing's operations, optimizing processes and refining distribution services across every facet of the company.

The distinct advantage of Drivin's route optimization solution stood apart from its competitors, with an interface characterized by user-friendliness, excellent customer support, vibrant visuals, and swift access to crucial parameters.

"With ease and efficiency, we navigate the transport landscape," affirms Mariane Vieira, Westwing's esteemed transport and innovation manager.

Elevating Logistics with Drivin

As the demand for Westwing's offerings grew incessantly within the vast expanse of Brazil, the company made strategic investments in its own fleet, including purchased, rented, and complementary vehicles during peak periods of last-mile delivery.

In late 2020, a milestone was achieved with the inauguration of Westwing's dedicated logistics hub in the heart of Vila Leopoldina, São Paulo (SP), and complemented by Drivin's cutting-edge technological solution to elevate its route planning efficiency.

The partnership was so successful that in 2021, Westwing relied on Drivin to implement the system and prepare the team in the new hubs: WESTLOG CAMPINAS, HUB SP, HUB RJ, HUB DF, and HUB BH, respectively located in the states of São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, the Federal District, and Minas Gerais.

Westwing and Drivin: The Road to Unparalleled Success

The amalgamation of Westwing's inspired vision with Drivin's transformative technology resulted in an extraordinary transformation:

➣ Reduced delivery time from 7 to 3 days.
➣ Improved service level, representing on-time delivery to customers, increasing from 97% to 99.5%.
➣ Approximately 5,000 daily orders routed with Drivin.
➣ Reduced delivery time by about 20 minutes.
➣ 50% of the fleet has nationwide coverage through the Drivin system.

Personalization and efficiency in logistics

Drivin's prowess extended far beyond mere optimization; it ushered in a new era of personalization and control for Westwing. Boasting a remarkable 50% share of Westwing's deliveries, Drivin's solution resolved long-standing route planning challenges.

Equipped with real-time information, drivers' images, vehicle license plates, cargo volume, and weight, Westwing gained unparalleled insights into the journey of every shipment.

Another positive aspect is greater control over the fleet, such as the scheduled freezing of the driver's lunch break, preventing the use of the app during their rest.

"The idiosyncrasies of multiple deliveries to a single location were always a challenge. Our daily rates were previously manually calculated, oblivious to the intricacies of each stop.

Drivin, in its unwavering dedication, addressed this in record time, saving us a precious 20 minutes each day," Mariane Vieira, transport and innovation manager, mentions.

A future without borders

As part of its expansion plan, Westwing has been investing in physical stores, using the same logistics as its e-commerce and adding electric cars to its fleet.

In this accelerated growth process, our partner knows that it can rely on Drivin's technology and expertise to meet its high demand with professionalism and help fulfill the dream of an inspiring home for its customers.
