01. Does DRIVIN use cookies?

At DRIVIN, we use cookies or other files with similar functionality (hereinafter, “cookies”) to understand how you use our services and to improve them. DRIVIN SpA and its subsidiaries are responsible for the cookies and for the processing of data obtained through them, deciding on the purpose, content, and use of the information collected.

02. Purpose

The purpose of this policy is to inform you clearly and in detail what a cookie is, what it is used for, what types of cookies we use, and how to configure or disable them if you wish.

03. What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file stored in your browser when you visit our cloud platform, which saves information about your browsing activity.

Some cookies are essential for the proper functioning of the website—such as technical or user interface customization cookies—while others, such as analytical or behavioral advertising cookies, require that we inform you and obtain your consent before using them.

04. Types of cookies

Below, and with the aim of enabling fully informed consent, we describe what each type of cookie consists of and what its purpose is.

Technical cookies: These allow the user to browse a website, platform, or application and use its various options or services, including the management and operation of the site, as well as enabling its functions and services—for example, identifying a session, accessing restricted areas, remembering items in an order, processing an order purchase, or managing payment. DRIVIN cannot function properly without these cookies; therefore, they are considered necessary and do not require consent.

Preference cookies: These allow DRIVIN to remember information that changes how the platform behaves or looks, enabling the user to access the service with specific characteristics that may differentiate their experience from that of other users—for example, language, number of search results displayed, or the region the user is located in. If the user selects these characteristics (e.g., choosing a language flag), it is considered an expressly requested service, provided that the cookies are used solely for the selected personalization purpose.

Analytical or measurement cookies: These enable us to understand how visitors interact with DRIVIN and to perform statistical analyses of how users use the website and services provided. The information collected is used to measure website or application activity, with the goal of improving products and services offered by DRIVIN.

Marketing or behavioral advertising cookies: These store information about users’ browsing behavior obtained through continuous observation of their habits, allowing the development of a specific profile to display relevant and engaging advertisements for each user.

05. Cookies used by DRIVIN

DRIVIN uses its own cookies for personalization, analytics, and advertising purposes, including the following:

  • Remembering your preferences and previous searches to enable more efficient and effective use of our Web Platform and/or Mobile App.
  • Analyzing the web pages you visit and the searches you perform to improve our commercial initiatives and to promote and enforce the Web Platform and/or App rules.
  • Collecting data related to the websites you visit, entry/exit pages, type of platform used, date/time information, number of clicks on specific pages, mouse movements and scrolls, search terms used, and text typed when using our Platform and/or App.
  • Identifying errors or operational issues on the website in order to optimize and improve it.

We do not use cookies to collect information about your visits to other websites, nor do we gather any personally identifiable information about you, other than what you voluntarily provide in your interactions with DRIVIN.

06. What happens if I disable cookies?

SIf you disable cookies, you will still be able to access the website, but browsing may not be optimal, and some services may not function properly.

07. Blocking or deleting cookies

You can allow, block, or delete cookies installed on your device through your web browser settings. You can also configure your browser to block cookies or alert you when a server attempts to store one.
