Expansion and Logistics in Chile

In Chile, Bidfood operates a network of distribution centers covering the country from Antofagasta to Punta Arenas. The company employs over six hundred people, both directly and indirectly, and manages a fleet of more than 150 trucks, all of which are operated through Drivin TMS (Transportation management system).

Implementing Drivin TMS

Juan Sebastián Moreno, Management and Technology Manager at Bidfood Chile, shares insights on how Drivin has transformed their logistics operations:

"Drivin has significantly enhanced the efficiency of our logistics processes, accelerating deliveries through technology-assisted planning. Additionally, the real-time data it provides allows us to respond more quickly and effectively to our customers."

Initially, Bidfood introduced Drivin in select vehicles in Chile's capital. Today, 100% of its fleet in Santiago operates with the system. From there, the company has expanded the platform to various branches, aiming for full nationwide implementation by the end of 2024.

María Alexandra Estrada, Project Manager in the Technology Department, reinforces this vision:

"We started working with Drivin in 2021, initially in our Santiago and Puerto Montt branches. By October 2023, we had extended the platform's implementation across the country, growing from two to eight branches nationwide.

Bidfood's experience with Drivin has been extremely positive, and we are very pleased with what we have achieved together."

Before adopting Drivin, Bidfood struggled with a lack of visibility and traceability, which affected their ability to provide timely responses to customers.

Paula Espinoza, Head of the Call Center Department, highlights how Drivin has improved customer service:
